Munya Chawawa has been single-handedly getting us all through the many, many months of lockdown – so of course he had a brilliant parody on the coronavirus vaccine too.
The comedian, who recently signed a record deal after his hilarious musical videos commenting on current affairs saw him shoot to fame, reworked a Justin Timberlake classic for his latest video.
Changing up the lyrics to Justin’s Rock Your Body, Munya showed off his best ‘Doctorial dancing’ in an all-white outfit ala Justin.
He sings: ‘They wanna be so quick to vaccinate, but is it safe? Will it shock your body? Gonna have to wait to find out your fate.’
Tapping in to the mood of the moment, Munya even managed to incorporate Nigella Lawson’s bizarre pronunciation of ‘microwave’ into the lyrics too.
He sang: ‘Some people are happy, some are afraid – it’s a mass debate. You might warm to it, meecro-waveh.’
In November, Munya announced that he had signed to Atlantic Records after the sketches he had been posting on social media had exploded so much during lockdown.
He wrote: ‘I’ve signed to Atlantic Records! Two years of sketches, one Fire in the Booth and a few middle class bars later and here we are!
‘Thank you for supporting my parodies & sharing my sketches. I’m so grateful and deffo cracking open a Shloer tonight.’
Munya’s topical parodies have covered everything from Black Lives Matter to the Sainsbury’s Christmas advert and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stalion’s WAP.
Set to huge tunes – with his own spin on the lyrics of course – Munya’s clips have been circulated millions of times worldwide.
His character, Unknown P – the UK’s first posh drill artist – also released a track called Piers Morgan, which left the broadcaster ‘flattered’, even though he admitted he hadn’t heard of Munya before.
