Mrs. Hinch has provided an update on her son’s progress as he stays in the hospital.
Sophie Hinchcliffe, the social media influencer, reported this week that her three-year-old son Ronnie was brought to the hospital with an unknown disease.
He had a swollen neck and a strong fever that was not improving with antibiotics, so his frightened mother went to the hospital with him after being discharged home from A&E.
Sophie expressed her concerns about her son in a long Instagram post, writing, ‘nothing prepares you for something like this,’ but added that Ronnie was remaining optimistic and’smiled away in the ambulance.’
Now, the influencer, who is also the mother of two-year-old Lennie, has provided an update, confirming that the child is still in the hospital.
She explained that, while Ronnie is still unwell, he has been watching other sick children play basketball from his room, and on Tuesday his parents pushed him out to the yard and raised him up to score.
‘Today this happened,’ she said beside a heartwarming snapshot of Ronnie being carried up by his delighted father.
‘For the past few days Ron has spotted the boys and girls playing basketball from our hospital room window. Today we wheeled him there, Daddy lifted him up, and he scored.’
‘I’ve ever felt a feeling like it,’ she continued.
‘We may not be able to go home yet but I am just so grateful for this moment right here right now. We love you millions Ron.’
Despite being hospitalised, Ron appears miles better than he was just days ago, with Sophie saying his ‘temp spiked to over 40 and his neck was swelling, limited head movements. I couldn’t keep meds or fluids in him.’
‘We were taken to A&E and sent home with antibiotics and it just didn’t feel right. My gut told me no.’
She then dialled 111 and was told to return to the hospital, where Ron was hospitalised.
‘Nothing prepares you for something like this does it. Just being on a children’s’ ward, seeing so many innocent little arms bandaged with cannulas. I just can’t comprehend this whole thing (sic),’ she continued.
She went on to thank her followers for messaging her, adding: ‘What I wouldn’t give to be back home with all my boys.’
