Lily Allen has shown fans her relatable side, although a rather unpleasant one, as seen by her posture.
During a recent appearance on ITV’s This Morning, the singer and actress tweeted two photos of herself crouched over a dish of noodles.
But it wasn’t the excellent food she was flaunting; it was her curved upper body as she ate while standing erect, a stance that would give any chiropractor heart palpitations.
Along with the pictures on Instagram, she wrote: ‘ my posture is so bad I am horrified.’
Fans and fellow celebrities enjoyed her painful-looking photos and obviously related, with famous stylist Erica Cloud commenting: ‘It’s the “mind the clothes” stance’.
Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley backed up her bizarre stance, joking: ‘Standard pasta posture! You’ll be reet! X’
Meanwhile, chef and The Great British Menu presenter Andi Oliver remarked, “Gotta eat child!” while singer Yebba Smith called her a “icon.”
Others hurried to the captions to congratulate her for being ‘genuine’, with one follower writing:’That is the I’m going down on these noodles position’.
One admirer even said, ‘Lily, thank you for being iconic and relatable,’ while another referred to her as ‘the people’s princess’ for releasing the uncensored candid photos.
The images appear to have been shot backstage during the star’s recent visit on This Morning, when she and co-star Steve Pemberton discussed their West End musical, The Pillowman.
Martin McDonagh created the drama in 2003, and it follows Lily’s fictitious writer as she is imprisoned by a totalitarian dictatorship.
Lily, the first woman to perform the character, recently stated that she ‘can’t wait to bring it to life on stage each night and for audiences to get to experience it.’
The celebrity is married to Stranger Things actor David Harbour, 48, and uses her social media page to showcase everything from polished press shots to behind-the-scenes secret peeks of her day-to-day life.
After only a year of dating, the pair married in 2020, eloping to Las Vegas with her two kids.
Their affection for one another knows no boundaries, with David practically taking to the streets to promote his amazing wife’s new job in the West End musical.
She recently revealed that her husband David used a photo of his Stranger Things character, Jim Hopper, on his dating app profile. Lily, on the other hand, recently ruled out joining the cast of a spin-off.
