North West, Kim Kardashian‘s daughter, has gone above and beyond to ensure her mother’s Met Gala preparations are as stress-free as possible.
The 42-year-old will walk the red carpet at the private event in a couple of hours, joining some of the industry’s greatest personalities at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The official subject for this year’s event is ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,’ in honour of the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Kim shared a preview of her wedding preparations on Instagram, when her eldest daughter, nine, transformed their luxurious hotel room into a makeshift luxury spa.
We would not have expected anything less.
White petals were thrown over the floor in the film, while flowers and candles covered every surface.
Behind three matching massage tables, huge silver balloons spelt out Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala.
Alongside the clip, the Skims designer proudly penned: ‘How sweet is North for surprising me tonight with this for us to relax before the Met.’
It was originally reported that Kim and her famous family were skipping the annual event because Vogue Editor Anna Wintour was tightening up the guest list, but the rumours were quickly debunked.

Little more is known about the mother-of-four’s ensemble, although she recently travelled to Paris to receive ‘inspiration’ for the event at the late Chanel designer’s office.
When she chose to wear the actual gown Marilyn Monroe wore to serenade President John F. Kennedy on his birthday in 1962, she provoked uproar throughout the world and ignited a tremendous debate.
As she walked down the carpet, she explained that she had to lose 16 pounds to fit into the outfit, which could not be altered.
Following the party, Kim was forced to respond to allegations that she had destroyed the gown after photos showed signs of wear and tear.
‘No. Ripley’s [and I] worked together so nicely; there were handlers in gloves who put it on me,’ she remarked during an appearance on the Today Show.
‘It was such a process…I showed up to the red carpet in a robe and slippers, and I put the dress on the bottom of the carpet, went up the stairs … I probably had it on for three minutes, four minutes.
‘I respect [Monroe], I understand how much this dress means to American history.
‘And with the theme [of the Met Gala] being American, I thought, “What’s more American than Marilyn Monroe singing happy to the President of the United States?’
