Joe Jonas has revealed a tattoo homage to his girls during his protracted divorce with Sophie Turner.
The Game of Thrones actress, 27, and the Jonas Brothers singer, 34, have two children, Willa and Delphine.
They had kept their family life absolutely private for the previous few years, but things got more public when they announced their divorce in September, four years after they had married.
Following a court struggle for custody of their children, the artist moved to drop their divorce case in Miami last month in order to pursue ‘an amicable resolution of all concerns’ with his former wife.
During a concert in Canada on Tuesday, the father-of-two proudly unveiled a permanent ink to their children amid the legal turmoil.
He ascended the stage with his siblings, Kevin and Joe Jonas, wearing a white vest with the pattern of Willa and Delphine’s birthdays on his breast.
In pictures from the gig that are making the rounds on TikTok, thanks to @briannabaustad, the tattoo clearly reads: ‘07.05.22 x 07.22.20’.
Sophie and Joe met in 2016 and promptly began dating before marrying three years later.
They then welcomed their first child, Willa, in July 2020, and their second in 2022.
Despite their celebrity, they took precautions to keep their relationship covert, only disclosing Delphine’s identity in legal documents.
After months of speculation, they issued a joint statement in September declaring the end of their relationship.
‘After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,’ it read.
‘There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.’
Sophie was then photographed ‘kissing’ nobleman Peregrine Pearson, thus confirming she had moved on from Joe.
The former couple were involved in a custody battle over their children, but they recently confirmed in another statement that they had reached an agreement: ‘After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the US and the UK.’
