Halle Bailey’s followers have demanded that she be placed in the next Avatar sequel, and someone has to call James Cameron right away.
Following her trailblazing performance in The Little Mermaid, the 23-year-old took advantage of some rare downtime by jet-setting to St Lucia with her sister, Chloe Bailey.
During their sun-soaked vacation, the Ariel actress posted photos of herself coated in muck and wearing a yellow bikini.
Fans couldn’t get enough of her uploads and instantly compared her to the mythological Avatar figures, requesting she be cast in the next film.
‘Ohmygosh put her in an Avatar movie immediately [sic],’ one wrote.
‘If she doesn’t look like a Na’vi,’ an Instagram user agreed.
Another penned: ‘Halle needs to be in the next Avatar movie.’
‘I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who thought this seeing these photos. But yes she would be a great avatar,’ a fan wrote.
As a commenter yelled: ‘PETITION FOR HALLE TO GET CASTED IN THE NEXT AVATAR MOVIE [sic].’
We’re down for that.
Following the release of the second installment last year, director James previously stated that further sequels were in the works, with Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana reprising their roles.
Avatar 3 was supposedly scheduled to be released in 2025, however it might be delayed even more because to the ongoing WGA and Sag-Aftra strikes in Hollywood.
So there’s still a chance…
The artist just joined the ranks of Disney princesses, playing Ariel in the live-action adaptation with Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, and Jacob Tremblay.
She was acclaimed for her work in the film, as she managed to put her own, distinct twist on one of the most famous characters.
She discussed what the ‘transformative’ persona meant to her ahead of the film’s release.
‘I think she’s taught me how to stand in my power how to be confident, how to know that I am worthy,’ she told us at the London premiere.
‘I credit her with really this transformative experience in my life.
‘When most people are going away to college during those years, I was filming The Little Mermaid, so it was my version of college – like a mermaid college. So I was happy!’
