Gary Beadle said that his wife, Emma, was having heart surgery in the hospital, and he spoke openly about the ‘tough’ period the family was going through.
The 34-year-old Geordie Shore star said his wife needed surgery to repair three holes in the organ.
Gary, the man Emma married last year, says it will take her three months to recuperate from the hospital stay.
The reality star has pledged to ‘hold down the fort’ at home with the couple’s two young children, Chester, five, and Primrose, two, while his partner recovers.
Prior to Emma’s operation, Gary used Instagram to keep his followers up to date on her status.
He said: ‘Very hard very stressful very emotional day.
‘Crazy what life throws at you sometimes. Big day for our family tomorrow.’
The star afterwards raved about his wife and the sacrifices she has made for their family of four while he has been away at work.
He continued by saying that Emma had been admitted to the hospital the night before, and that she had to wait hours before being taken to a ward.
The public figure asserted, however, that his wife was thinking exclusively about their young children at all times.
Gary highlighted: ‘You know what shout out to all the mums, honestly Emma was literally waiting to go in at 7am this morning.
‘After we dropped her last night, and her only worry was the kids were ok and that they had found their treasure hunt surprises which she has planned everyday for them.
‘Mums are built different, nothing else matters, as long as their kids are happy.
‘I will hold the fort and update you all soon as I hear from the doctors that all has gone well.
‘Going to be a hard two to three month recovery but we got this as a family… thanks again for all the messages.’
Last August, Emma was brought to the hospital after she had been experiencing symptoms of her inflammatory ailment colitis and congenital heart abnormality.
At the time, she wrote on her own Instagram account: ‘My life has become turbulent and unpredictable.
‘In the space of a week I’ve had gas and air, cameras inside me, called in for a chest X-ray whilst I’m sat having lunch, bloods and to start infusions, injections and one other thing that I can’t even remember because my head is constantly a shed.
‘I don’t show a lot of my life on social media, as much as people think I do. I think I’m trying to just deal with things myself and be present at all times with my babies.’
