Ellie Goulding isn’t planning on doing any tourist activities anytime soon.
The 36-year-old Starry Eyed singer resorted to social media to express her displeasure at a bizarre zoo activity.
Ellie remarked on a video of the attraction in action from the animal rights organisation Protect All Wildlife, saying, ‘Can’t bear this.’
A terrified lion can be seen snarling and repeatedly scratching a glass cabinet as two visitors sat taking selfies.
The massive male cat’s ears were pressed back to its head as it bared its teeth at the two people behind the glass.
The women appeared to be in hysterics as they watched the lion’s desperate attempts to approach them, and one even pawed the glass back at the animal, imitating it.
The video, which appeared to have been released by Animal City Lebanon, went viral on Twitter, with many people, including Ellie, calling the behaviour “cruel” and “sad.”
‘I find it cruel and frustrating for the lion,’ wrote one, while another said: ‘Good lord this is truly moronic. Lock animals up in cages then bait them for amusement – shockingly hideous.’
Meanwhile wildlife campaigner – who Ellie retweeted – said: ‘Imprisoning & humiliating wild animals is nothing to smile about.’
Supporting Ellie’s stance, one fan said: ‘I don’t think anyone would want this tbh. Disgraceful.’
Another wondered: ‘Omg this is awful, how is it even legal?’

Ellie has always been vocal about climate change and wildlife rights, and she was named a WWF ambassador last year.
‘I’m delighted to join WWF as an ambassador because I’m passionate about speaking up for our extraordinary planet,’ she said.
‘I know that the climate crisis and the destruction of nature can feel overwhelming at times, but I promise you when millions of people stand together, and demand change, the dial begins to shift.
‘One thing we know is that every second counts and every second we need to agitate for change. I want to be part of that.’
