Dani Dyer has slammed ‘judgemental mums’ for pushing unwanted opinions on her and her child.
The former Love Island winner, 25, has an 11-month-old son, Santiago, who was born in January.
She has now opened up on the joys and difficulties of being a mum – and how some tough moments came from the actions of other mothers.
In an Instagram Q&A with fans where she was asked what milestones Santiago had reached and whether he had started crawling, Dani took the opportunity to call for people to stop comparing their children.
‘Santi has only just started crawling,’ she wrote. ‘He waves and claps his hands.
‘But every baby is so different.
‘I had a few mums with the negative opinions on how there baby was crawling at six months (sic).
‘And there is NO need to ever compare babies, they are all at there own pace (sic).’
Dani is far from the only parent who feels judged on their parenting methods, and was asked in the same Q&A how she deals with ‘judgemental mums’.
The reality star replied that she feels their attitude is ‘more of a reflection on them’ than anything else.
‘I would never feel the need to judge someone on anything, everyone’s got there own stuff going on and sometimes it’s better to keep your opinion to yourself (sic),’ Dani said.
She concluded: ‘Nobody is perfect.’
Dani has spent much of the past year raising her son on her own, after ex-partner Sammy Kimmence, Santiago’s father, was jailed for scamming pensioners out of thousands of pounds.
However the star, who is the daughter of EastEnders legend Danny Dyer, has recently found love again with new boyfriend Jarrod Bowen.
Dani and the West Ham United footballer took the big step of becoming Instagram official earlier this month, sharing a photograph of them sipping champagne together.
The mum of one has said however that whatever happens in her love life, ‘Santi will always be my main priority, he will always come first’.
