Rumer Willis has said that her parents are overjoyed for her to become a mother, making them grandparents for the first time.
The singer and actress, whose father is Bruce Willis and mother is Demi Moore, revealed her pregnancy in December of last year.
Rumer, 34, revealed her pregnancy with a series of bump photos, with her ecstatic partner Derek Richard Thomas kissing her swelling tummy.
She has already voiced her excitement at becoming the first of Bruce and Demi’s three children (the couple also has Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29) to start the next generation.
‘[My parents] are so excited,’ Rumer told People ahead of Mother’s Day in the States.
‘My sisters are so excited, and it’s so fun to be bringing in the first grandkid in our family, especially because we’re such a huge group at this point.’
Cradling her baby belly proudly, the Kentucky native also highlighted how ‘humbling’ pregnancy has been for her.
‘I have so much reverence and respect for women now,’ she admitted. ‘I feel I’ve had an easier time physically than most of my friends.
‘Also, because I’m so excited, even those moments that are challenging, or feel frustrating, I’m just so excited, that always kind of trumps [everything]. But, it’s wild. It’s the wildest experience, even more so than I ever thought of.’
Rumer will undoubtedly receive a lot of hands-on help from her renowned parents, who have already begun giving her guidance.
On the number one lesson she’s picked up from them so far, she said: ‘You have no control over anything, and just have a lot of grace with yourself.’

Her ‘lovely’ boyfriend, Derek, is equally as ‘excited’ to become a dad, with Rumer saying they’re both ‘so delighted to meet whoever this little person is.’
‘I could not have asked for a better partner, and he’s going to be such a great dad,’ she praised.
Rumer’s parents, Bruce, 68, and Demi, 60, have remained amicable despite their divorce.
They married in 1987 and announced their separation in June 1998, filed for divorce the following October.
Demi has been at Bruce’s side since he disclosed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) earlier this year, along with Bruce’s new wife Emma Heming.
Issuing a joint statement alongside Bruce’s loved ones in February, she penned on Instagram: ‘Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.
‘In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.
‘Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).
‘Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.’
The statement was signed ‘in love and gratitude’ by ‘ladies of Willis/Moore’.
