Blue singer Simon Webbe was compelled to visit the hospital over the weekend due to an unknown illness.
On Instagram, the 43-year-old requested his supporters for luck while posting a photo of himself in a medical gown, looking irritated.
‘Back in hospital AGAIN!!’ he captioned the Story, adding: ‘Wish me luck’ with a praying hands emoji.
When it came to music, he chose to use one of his band’s own tunes, the smash song One Love.
He hasn’t said anything else about his medical appointment since then.
Simon is most known for his time as a member of the chart-topping British boyband Blue, which he joined in 2000 alongside Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Lee Ryan before parting in 2004 and rejoining in 2009.
They’ve won two Brit Awards and been nominated for two more, as well as having three number one songs and three number one albums.
They also represented the United Kingdom in Eurovision in 2011, finishing in 11th place with the song I Can.
Heart & Soul, their sixth studio album, was released in September 2022.
They’ve also been touring in anticipation of their 20th anniversary, completing an action-packed November and December tour that saw them visit Doha and then tour around the country to Cardiff, Manchester, Bournemouth, Glasgow, and London’s O2 Arena, before wrapping up on December 20 at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena.
The two-decade (and a bit) anniversary of their chart-topping debut album All Rise was originally set for September but was pushed back.
Dad-of-two Simon’s most recent Instagram post was a Christmas tartan pyjama family portrait with his wife Ayshen, whom he married in 2018, and their young daughter Cyan.
He also has a 26-year-old daughter, Alanah, with Nicola Jones, and is a staunch LGBT ally who supports both her and bandmate Duncan, who came out to Simon first.
In a group chat Simon recalled to Duncan: ‘You was like, “So you boys don’t look at me differently?” and we were like, “Why? Why would we look at you differently?” All the questions were in his head which is obviously understandable.’
Sharing his own personal insight, Simon added: ‘My daughter is gay as well so it’s hard for people to try and be accepted in today’s world. I think nowadays it’s a lot easier, you’ve got a lot more people you can speak to now.
‘You can express yourself on social media and it’s not such a big deal now.’
