Alison Hammond shared this lovely photo with her Instagram followers after learning that a guy had been detained over the weekend on suspicion of blackmailing her.
The 48-year-old broadcaster claimed that she enjoyed a “girls night” with Nicole Appleton, Emma Bunton, and Holly Willoughby.
Alongside the beaming picture, the star penned the caption: ‘Girl therapy night ! Needed that @hollywilloughby @emmaleebunton @shishib [sic]’, with a red love heart.
Friends and fans offered their support to Alison in the comments with Emma writing: ‘We [heart] ya! [sic]’.
Nicole offered: ‘It was just wonderful!! Big love darling!! [sic]’, while a fan said: ‘Stay smiling Alison. We’re all behind you. Xxx [sic]’.
The photo was released after it was reported that police investigations into allegations of blackmail against the TV host culminated in an arrest.
According to The Sun, Alison, who co-hosts ITV’s This Morning with Dermot O’Leary and was just appointed as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off, was blackmailed for enormous quantities of money and a £5,000 BMW.
According to West Midlands Police, a 36-year-old male from Warwickshire was detained on suspicion of blackmail on Saturday evening and is being questioned.
According to the police, he was eventually freed on conditional bail on Sunday evening.
According to The Sun, the mother-of-one was put under duress by her blackmailer, who threatened to circulate lies about her in order to harm her career if she did not comply with the demands.
The Birmingham-born personality rose to prominence as a competitor on the third series of Big Brother in 2002 before joining This Morning the following year.
