It’s giving all the regalcore vibes.
Bridgerton is the word on everyone’s lips at the moment, and now a Bridgerton inspired lipstick can coat them too.
Pat McGrath Labs has collaborated with the Netflix and Shondaland to produce a second limited-edition collection housed in the prettiest of packaging.
Embellished with bows and images of crowns and pearls, it’s a regal aesthetic fan’s beauty dream.
After the first collection swiftly sold out, this new one is bigger and promises to be capable of creating ‘regency-meets-modern’ looks.
The line-up includes a new eyeshadow palette – the formula of which Pat McGrath is most famous for – blushers, body and face shimmer, satin lipsticks and kohl eyeliner.
Glow is high on the agenda as most shades have some kind of reflect to them, bold or subtle.
As well as unveiling this limited new line, the brand has announced that Bridgerton’s (spoiler ahead for anyone who hasn’t watched the first season) Lady Whistledown, actress Nicola Coughlan, is now a ‘McGrath Muse’, so expect to see her wearing more from the brand.
At the BAFTAs, her makeup artist, Neil Young, used an entire face of Pat McGrath to create her ‘New Hollywood’ look.
Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that Bridgerton’s makeup artist, Erika Okvist, only used Pat’s products on the cast for the second season of the show.
Sandie Bailey, Shondaland’s chief design and digital media officer, says: ‘[Pat] is an icon and a global force in the beauty and fashion industry and shares a creative passion for projects that evoke emotion, making her a perfect partner as we expand the Bridgerton world.
‘Pat’s dedication to accessibility for all skin tones in addition to high-caliber products is unmatched, making this collection a must-have for the Bridgerton audience and Pat McGrath Labs consumers alike.’
When the news was announced on Instagram, fans shared their excitement.
One person wrote: ‘I don’t even watch this show, but I swear I need it just for the gorgeous colour story and packaging.’
Another said: ‘Omg I’m drooling to all of this one of the best collections ever.’
Some fans that invested in the first Bridgerton drop were a little disappointed however, pointing out the similar colour choices.
One disappointed fan said: ‘Surprise, surprise, more gold and pink from Pat. This is pretty much the first palette but with gold instead of blue.’
Though for those excited by the release and unable to get their hands on the first collaboration, it’s a nice surprise.
As the products are limited edition, you might not want to ponder for too long on this one.
