Channel 4’s newest bombshell expose on Russell Brand shattered viewership records, with a record-breaking total number of viewers.
The 48-year-old Get Him to the Greek star has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and domineering behaviour by numerous women at his peak of success, prompting investigations by the BBC, Channel 4, and the Metropolitan Police force.
Brand has disputed the allegations, claiming that while he was “promiscuous,” any sexual interactions were “always consensual.”
The broadcaster announced on X, then known as Twitter, that ‘Russell Brand: In Plain Sight was our highest brand new 9pm commission for Inds share since Big Fat Gipsy Weddings in 2011, and our biggest for 16-34 share on record.’
The tweet also reported that the show ‘consolidated with 3.3million,’ making it the ‘largest ever Dispatches in share.’
As he returned to his live internet programme last week, Brand begged with followers to donate money and support his Rumble channel.

His live-stream began only seconds after the Metropolitan Police Department announced the commencement of an inquiry into accusations of prior sexual assaults in London and other cities.
These are all recent crimes.
Officers will provide specialised assistance to all of the women who have filed claims.
Detectives from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime Command, led by Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, are conducting the inquiry.
Supt Furphy said: ‘We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.
‘We understand it can feel like a difficult step to take and I want to reassure that we have a team of specialist officers available to advise and support.’
There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
Brand’s most recent speech before the live concert thanked his community for their “support.”
The St Trinians actor broke his quiet on social media over the weekend, saying the week since the accusations were published had been “extraordinary” and “distressing.”
Brand went on to say that he never anticipated he would need the support of his supporters as much as he does now.
