Creator of Peaky Blinders Steven Knight has revealed he would absolutely love crime drama queen Vicky McClure included in the spin-off film, which is set for a 2023 release.
With Peaky Blinders being brought to a temporary end in the weeks to come, fans are buzzing to see the Shelby family back in business for a final time.
But the genius behind the drama is already looking to who he wants in the cast of the big-screen sequel, with Line of Duty star Vicky at the top of the list.
Back in 2019, Vicky said she had auditioned to be in every single series of Peaky Blinders, yet had never won a part.
At the time, she told Red Magazine: ‘I’ve never got [a part]. Although work is regular, it doesn’t always go my way.’
Since then, she’s been pretty much everywhere on our screens, with the sixth season of Line Of Duty having concluded in 2021.
She has also recently starred in hard-hitting ITV drama Triggerpoint alongside Adrian Lester, who met a grisly end in the first episode.
But looking to the future, Steven, who is behind the Birmingham-based gang drama has said he’d love the actress in his feature-length project.
