Georgia Kousoulou and Alison Hammond are among the stars who’ve filmed a cute rendition of Jingle Bells to raise funds for the Barnardo’s Kidsmas campaign.
The Towie star, who announced she is pregnant with her first child with Tommy Mallet, is among the stars and children belting out the Christmas classic to raise vital funds for charity.
Georgia, who appears with her dog Monkey, said: ‘My little Monkey loves Christmas songs, so I really enjoyed supporting the Barnardo’s Kidsmas campaign by singing Jingle Bells with him.
‘After an incredibly tough year, the vulnerable children that the charity supports need us now more than ever before, so I hope that this video brightens everyone’s day and encourages them to lend their support to the charity in any way that they can.’
This Morning presenter Alison added: ‘There are so many challenges for children growing up these days, which have been made even more difficult by the year that we’ve had.
‘Bringing joy and laughter to children is something I’m very passionate about, so I hope that this fun rendition of Jingle Bells will help to brighten people’s days – whilst encouraging them to support Barnardo’s and its Kidsmas campaign, if they can.’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here star and Paralympian Hollie Arnold and EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy are also among the stars taking part in the sweet mash-up video.
Barnardo’s Kidsmas campaign aims to help vulnerable children over the festive period by encouraging the public to hold Kidsmas events such as a quiz in order to raise money.
With Christmas this year being even tougher for many due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Barnardo’s are hoping to help vulnerable children to enjoy the festivities.
Barnardo’s chief executive Javed Khan said: ‘For many children, Christmas is a time for family, festivities and fun, but for the vulnerable children Barnardo’s supports, it often comes with serious challenges.
‘This year, with abuse, poverty, bereavement, mental health issues and loneliness on the rise in the wake of the Covid pandemic, even more children will be deprived of the chance to enjoy the festive season.
‘That’s why this year’s Kidsmas campaign is so important. Everyone can take part – by throwing a virtual Kidsmas party, building a fundraising snowman or simply making a direct donation.
‘Now, more than ever, we need the support of our partners and the generosity of the British public to raise funds to reach the children who need us most.’
