The second season of the hit show was long-awaited, as viewers have been waiting more than a year to find out what happened to the Bridgerton and Featherington families since the first season aired in December 2020.
Fans who binge-watched the entire season over the weekend are already burning for a third series of the steamy period drama.
Here is everything you need to know about whether there will be another installment of Bridgerton.
Will there be a season 3 of Bridgerton?
Bridgerton fans will be delighted to know that seasons three and four have been confirmed.
So far, the first two seasons of Bridgerton have been based on the first and second books in Julia Quinn’s series—The Duke and I, and The Viscount Who Loved Me, respectively.
The first book and season told the story of Daphne and Simon’s romance, while the second book and season focuses on Anthony and Kate.
The third book, titled An Offer From a Gentlemen, is about Benedict and Sophie, while the fourth book, called Romancing Mister Bridgerton, is about Colin and Penelope.
Show producer Shonda Rhimes told Entertainment Tonight: ‘There’s eight Bridgerton siblings, so we’re planning on following each one of the siblings’ romantic stories.’
However, she added: ‘We’re not necessarily going in order but we are going to be seeing each of the siblings and their stories.’
So, we will just have to wait to find out which couple season three will focus on.
