The Great British Sewing Bee semi-final airs tonight and the stakes are higher than ever as the grand finale looms.
Presenter Sara Pascoe will return to host the episode which will celebrate Japanese design and sewing.
For the pattern challenge, judge Esme Young has collaborated with a Japanese designer to come up with a kimono-inspired dress, while the transformation task sees the sewers mending worn-out denim using Eastern techniques of embroidery and applique.
Finally, the made-to-measure sees the remaining contestants fitting an outfit to their models which has elements of origami folds and pleats.
Here’s who is competing in the semi-final.
