Tonight, more optimistic artists fight for the top prize on Britain’s Got Talent, which returns to our televisions.
The iconic ITV talent show returns this month for its 16th season, offering a life-changing big prize for one of Britain’s most gifted individuals.
BGT debuted in 2007 and has already spawned a number of celebrities, including dance trio Diversity, tenor vocalist Paul Potts, and probably the show’s most successful competitor, Susan Boyle.
Dancers, singers, comedians, and magicians will all take the stage in the hopes of impressing the judges and winning a position at this year’s Royal Variety Performance as well as a cash award.
Ghetto Kids is one of the acts going to audition, but who are they and where could you remember them from? Here’s what we know thus far.
Who are Ghetto Kids?
Ghetto Kids is a dancing group with kids ranging in age from five to thirteen.
The group, formerly known as Triplets Ghetto Kids, was created in 2014.
Daouda Kavuma founded the organisation, which is made up of youngsters from Kampala’s Katwe slum.

‘The mission is making lives better through dance. That’s our goal. We are helping disadvantaged children, orphans, and street kids. We use dance to make their lives better,’ Kavuma told Euro News.
‘When you dance, you forget that you didn’t eat. When you dance, you forget that you have lost someone. You forget everything. You focus on dance.’
Where might you have seen them before?
If you believe you recognised these dancers, you could be correct since this isn’t the first time they’ve been on television.
The group originally gained attention in 2014 when they shared a video dancing to Eddy Kenzo’s Sitya Loss, which had over 8 million views.
‘While working on that video, we didn’t know that it was going to go viral because back then, we didn’t know what the word viral meant,’ said Ronald Santiago, a member of Triplet Ghetto Kids, continued to Euro News.
The popularity of the first video enabled Kavuma to invest in equipment to help the group improve, and the singer later invited them to appear in an official music video for the song.
