When Love Island 2022 began, the arrival of Gemma Owen in the villa sparked a surge of interest from fans, considering her famous father.

While it seems she’s yet to reveal his identity to her fellow islanders – including her current partner, fishmonger Luca Bish – the public knows that Gemma is the daughter of none other than former Liverpool and Manchester United professional footballer Michael Owen.

Considering her famous dad, it should come as no surprise that the international dressage rider – who celebrated her 19th birthday on May 1 – has enjoyed a luxurious upbringing.

To mark Gemma’s most recent birthday, Michael shared a post on Instagram from what appeared to be their home, posing with his daughter in front of a carpeted staircase with a wooden bannister as he wrote: ‘19 years of joy since you entered our lives! Happy Birthday @gem0wen.’

The pundit has actually lived in their family home since before Gemma was born.

Where does Love Island star Gemma Owen live?

While Gemma introduced herself as being from Chester when she joined the series, she actually lives in a jaw-dropping mansion called Lower Soughton Hall in North Wales with her family, including dad Michael.

The reported £4million property – which is a Grade II listed manor house – was even featured on ITV programme Through the Keyhole in 2019, during which Keith Lemon welcomed viewers into the lavish house, encouraged them to guess who it belonged to.

Michael lives at the house with his wife Louise Bonsall – who he met in primary school – and their four children: Gemma, 19; James, 16; Emily, 14; and Jessica, 12.

The estate boasts an indoor swimming pool, a cinema room, a games room, a gym, a luxurious jacuzzi, and has been the family’s home since 2001, two years before Gemma was born.

It was also decorated with plenty of sentimental artefacts from throughout Michael’s footballing career, giving away his identity as the homeowner with his plethora of shirts, signed football and trophies.

When Through The Keyhole explored the home, Keith wasn’t allowed to enter any of the bedrooms.

As well as living at the house in North Wales, Michael also co-owns the Manor House Stables in Cheshire, sharing a love for horses with his daughter Gemma.

Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
