Who left Strictly last week?

JJ Chalmers left the competition in the quarter final (Picture: BBC)

JJ Chalmers became the latest celeb to leave the competition in the quarter final stage.

Viewers were left in tears following the former marine and Invictus Games medallist’s exit on Sunday December 7, with professional partner Amy Dowden paying an emotional tribute on the show.

The pair left the competition following their Charleston to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which left them in the bottom two with Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing and his dance partner Karen Hauer.

Amy paid a heartfelt tribute to JJ, struggling to hold back the tears as she said: ‘It has been an absolute honour to be your partner and most importantly friend, throughout your Strictly experience.

‘He is, and everybody would agree, one of the world’s most truest gentlemen. I honestly believe from working with JJ over the last few months I’ve become a better person and I’ve learned so much.’

It comes after Nicola Adams and her professional partner Katya Jones were forced to quit the show after Katya contracted coronavirus, but will return to perform a dance in the final.
