The 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing has finally arrived, with only two couples left to compete.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and John Whaite are the last celebrities standing as they try and make one last impression to be crowned the winners and lift the coveted Glitter Ball trophy.

AJ Odudu sadly had to drop out of the final this week following an injury in training – one last twist to what has been an eventful and emotional series.

While another series of Strictly may be at its end, it will not be the last time the show fills your living room with glitter in 2021, as there is the small matter of the Christmas special to see to.

But when can fans expect to see the Christmas special on TV?

Make sure you leave room after your Christmas lunch, as the Strictly Christmas Special will be delivering some tasty moves on December 25 – which is Christmas Day, of course!

The special is scheduled right in heart of the BBC festive line-up on Christmas Day at 5.10pm – the perfect thing to watch as you pop your feet up after a long hard day of present opening and face-stuffing.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas will all return to judge the special, along with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman back on presenting duties.
