Tyson Fury’s wife Paris weighed in on reports that Dolly Parton is adopting a child at the age of 75.
The country singer and her husband Carl Dean are looking to adopt a 10-year-old girl, it has been reported.
According to the Globe, Dolly is ‘keen to adopt a child of her own, even though she’s turning 75 this month. And Carl is all for it.’
Appearing via video link on Tuesday’s Loose Women, the mum-of-five disagreed with the rest of the panel, who were in support of Dolly adopting a child.
‘There’s a reason women have children young in life,’ Paris began.
‘I think it’s biological that you deteriorate at like 35, 40. Women go through IVF treatment at like 40, 50 I agree with that.
‘I think maybe you’ve waited until your career has finished or until it’s appropriate time of life to have children, so at that age, 40s, 50s is fair enough because like Linda said if you have 20-year-olds that lose a parent, they’re ready for that.’
Paris went on to add that even if Dolly did adopt a child now, ‘things can dramatically change for an older person’ in three years.
‘But, if you take some at 70 or 80 and they start having kids, then you’re going to have this child that could…Yeh it’s alright saying Dolly is fit and well now but in three years things can change dramatically for an older person,’ she continued.
