We thought we’d seen everything when it came to Extreme Sisters. A promotional footage of twins Christina and Jessica, however, has reached new levels of frightening.
The TLC show chronicles the lives of two sisters who are so close that they defecate together and share toothbrushes – yet these 39-year-old sisters get to know one other’s bodies quite well.
Christina, who is expecting her third kid, wants her sister to check her cervix… with her fingers… at home, like they did when she was pregnant.
‘When Jessica was pregnant, I checked her cervix, so I feel confident having her do the same thing for me,’ Christina tells the camera, although Jessica adds that she’s ‘never’ checked a cervix before but has ‘looked online’.
‘You stick your fingers in there, you start opening them up and then the wider they go, your cervix is open,’ she explains.
Christina is convinced that she would rather have her sister’stick her fingers into [her]’ than a ‘random stranger,’ a nurse.
‘You have the same DNA as me, my vagina is basically your vagina anyway,’ she says.
They then set up a ‘nursing station’ on the bed, with Jessica offering to shave Christina’s vagina.
‘It’s cool, because it’s like I get to see inside my vagina,’ Jessica says before the procedure starts.
Jessica puts on gloves and inserts her fingers as Christina is lying on the bed.
‘It looks like my vagina… a vagina is a vagina,’ she says.
The pair are giggling throughout, with Jessica urging Christina to ‘relax your vagina’, before she concludes: ‘Oh my god you’re so soft in there’.
As you can expect, viewers are horrified and repulsed by the scenes.
‘You know what I’m soooooo done,’ one wrote, with another adding: ‘This is disturbing’.
Another slammed: ‘Ummmm besides the obvious, this isn’t ok to just randomly be checking a cervix, at home, with a glove that you just pulled out from under the kitchen sink?!?’
Someone else echoed: ‘Ok so sure you’d rather have someone who googles how to check a cervix than a trained professional but ok’.
‘Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no! Wrong on so many levels and they televised this too,’ a fourth wrote.
Extreme Sisters airs Mondays on TLC in America.
