Fans have been drooling over the prospect of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague marrying since they finished as runners-up on the 2019 series of Love Island.
Four years later, the pair, who are now 24 and 23, are still going strong and have a baby girl, Bambi, who was born in January of this year.
Tommy has stated on various times over the years that a proposal might be on the horizon in the near future… However, there is no sign of a gleaming diamond ring on Molly-Mae’s finger.
After sparking wedding rumours when the boxer was photographed wearing what seemed to be a gold band on his ring finger, he’s now addressed the forthcoming milestone in their relationship once again.
On Thursday, May 18, he appeared alongside Vernon Kay, Paul Sinha, and Martin Kemp on a special version of Loose Women, an infrequent section dubbed Loose Men.
He revealed that he had intended to propose to Molly-Mae much sooner, but due to the demands of his professional sporting career, he had to postpone his intentions.
‘My actual plan was to do a lot sooner but obviously, being a boxer, when you’re in a training camp you’ve got to completely shut yourself off, you want to just focus on the fight, so I can’t be going in and everywhere proposing,’ he told the panel.
‘So I’m going to do it soon guys, honestly, I really am.’
The fighter confessed that he’s ‘had it in the ear for the past two years’ after not getting down on one knee quite yet.
Speaking about how his life has changed since becoming a father, he added: ‘I feel as a fighter, having a baby just gives me more motivation, something to fight for when times get tough, she’s what I’m fighting for now so it’s definitely spurred me on.’
Earlier this month, Molly-Mae shared a special birthday message in honour of her partner on social media.
Amid the plethora of adorable videos, Tommy was shown brandishing a curious-looking ring for the camera.
Molly-Mae captioned the clip: ‘Happy birthday to my soulmate, a lifetime of loving you wouldn’t be enough.’
Tommy hadn’t showed off the ring for the first time, having already aroused suspicion that they had married in secret.
Nonetheless, the main question has yet to be answered, according to the former Love Island star’s current appearance on Loose Men.
