After a very steamy sex scene in his new show The Crowded Room, Tom Holland is getting a lot of attention online.
The 10-part psychological thriller is partly based on the arrest of Billy Milligan in 1979 and the book Daniel Keyes wrote about his crimes after that.
Tom, who is 27, plays Danny Sullivan, and Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum are also in the show.
When the series came out last month, it got some pretty bad reviews, but fans who have stuck with it can’t get enough, especially after seeing Tom get dirty.
In the show, Danny is caught on suspicion of committing a horrifying crime. During conversations with an interrogator, played by Amanda, he talks about his multiple personality disorder.
In the eighth episode, a character named Ariana dances in a bar before going to the toilet for a sexual experience with another character.
After dancing with a man on the dance floor, they don’t waste any time and end up making out in the bathroom. The resulting scenes have been shared thousands of times on social media.
‘The director yelled “take five” but Tom Holland heard ‘change lives’ and went with it,’ one person posted on Twitter.
‘Tom Holland gay sex made me google The Crowded Room real quick,’ another intrigued viewer shared.
Another added: [There’s a lot] of new watchers because of the Tom Holland sex scene.’
Many others praised his commitment to the character.
‘Tom Holland’s range is insane. The way he walk just brings Ariana’s sex appeal his way is so seducing.’
Someone else, though, was very worried about turning it on because they knew they would have to watch a steamy sex scene with their parents, which would be very awkward.
‘Oh no I got my parents into The Crowded Room and I’ve just learned that one of my theories is correct and we will indeed be seeing Tom Holland in a gay sex scene. Like slay but also I cannot be in the room,’ they wrote.
Tom said earlier this year that making the show “broke him” and that he needed to take a break.
‘I love the learning curve of becoming a producer. I’m no stranger to hard work. I’ve always sort of lived by this idea that hard work is good work,’ he began.
‘I really enjoyed it, but then again, the show did break me. There did come a time where I was sort of like, “I need to have a break,” I disappeared.’
He told Extra that he went to Mexico for a week and hung out on a beach before taking a year off because the project was so hard on his mind.
