The victims of the Tinder Swindler have the potential to earn up to £10,000 per Instagram post as their social media followings rapidly increase after the documentary’s release.
Fans were left shocked by Netflix’s The Tinder Swindler, which saw the stories of various women across the globe being conned by Shimon Heyada Hayut.
Cecilie Fjellhøy, Ayleen Koeleman, Pernilla Sjoholm all starred in the damning documentary exposing Hayut, who scammed women he met on Tinder to fund his billionaire lifestyle.
The doc quickly became one of the streaming service’s top releases last week, and the story has struck a chord with viewers around the world.
Now, it’s thought the women who shared their stories in the programme could end up using it to their advantage as their social profiles on social media quickly grow in volume.
Those who’ve already tuned into the Netflix special will know the victims of Hayut are all still paying off their large debts, down to loans they took out in order to ‘save him from his enemies’.
But it seems the additional exposure could help them with their monetary recovery further, as they could already earn over £2,000 per sponsored post, with that figure quickly rising.
Andy Barr, CEO and owner of Digital PR Agency www.10yetis.co.uk told Metro.co.uk: ‘The Tinder Swindler was only released on February 2 and it’s already become a viral sensation.
‘Both Cecilie and Pernilla are already at a point where they can demand over £2,000 per sponsored Instagram post.
‘With both Cecilie and Pernilla suffering from large debts due to the Tinder Swindler’s actions, the show’s virality and popularity have meant that they may be able to bounce back easier than they first thought.’
