Sian Welby enthusiastically accepted her lover Jake Beckett’s marriage proposal.
Jake, 30, opted to pop the big question on a romantic vacation, which startled Sian, 36, who wasn’t expecting it.
Sian, who co-hosts Capital Breakfast radio with Roman Kemp and frequently hosts This Morning’s competition parts, explained how it all went down.
Alongside two snaps of them looking ecstatic as Sian proudly showed off the beautiful ring on her left hand she wrote on Instagram: ‘On Tuesday I thought we were just going on a boat trip!!
‘Genuinely didn’t see this coming. For once I am totally speechless.’
Although being engaged wasn’t a top priority for Sian before it happened, she has now discovered how much Jake’s proposal meant to her.
‘I didn’t think it mattered until he asked me, and then suddenly it meant everything. Love you Jakey x,’ she shared.
She concluded by revealing the special date – ‘15.8.23’.

Sian has been a regular on Capital Breakfast since 2020, when she took over from Vick Hope, and has interviewed a number of A-list celebrities, including Margot Robbie, Adam Sandler, and Jennifer Aniston, to mention a few. While Jake works on the radio, he also produces Heart Breakfast, which features Amanda Holden, Kelly Brook, and Rochelle Humes as hosts.
They seem to have hectic professional lives, so they’ll appreciate the respite.
