This Morning got the week off to a hot start when the broadcast was interrupted by an obscene phone call.
The Spin To Win game took a raunchy turn thanks to a disrespectful caller, leaving hosts Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle surprised and a touch red faced.
The presenting couple were looking for a caller to participate in the standard section, but one mischievous prankster chose to utilise their moment in the limelight to go in a whole other route.
There was a brief delay while Rochelle and Craig waited for the password, only to be met with slaps and a lady groaning for a few seconds before the queue became silent.
That’s a great way to begin a Monday morning!
‘I don’t know what that was, but I liked it,’ joked Craig, while his co-star looked absolutely mortified by the steamy turn of events.
‘I don’t know what that was, but shall we just move on,’ Rochelle added, trying to get things back on track as Craig imitated the sounds and insisted it wasn’t the right password.
Viewers were howling over the interruption, with one person jokingly calling it a ‘f*** up’, while another simply laughed: ‘Wtf was that 😂 #ThisMorning’
A different viewer added: ‘What the heck was going on then #ThisMorning’
Aside from the brave caller, the competitors didn’t fare much better, with ignored calls or individuals uttering ‘hello’ instead of the secret passcode.
Some fans appeared to be more angry by somebody failing to answer the phone correctly than by a mid-morning meeting being shown on daytime television.
One viewer ranted: ‘You enter a competition, watch it live then answer with ‘hello’. Even if you don’t watch it live you should be aware you have entered it and the time you get a call #ThisMorning
‘WHY bother entering the competition then say hello when your phone rings???? #ThisMorning,’ added a second person, and even Rochelle was clearly fed up with the way things went.
As producers decided to call it quits, she said: ‘Can you tell I’m actually really annoyed?’
Craig spun the wheel nonetheless, although in a ‘gentle’ manner, with the £1,000 he won being carried over to tomorrow’s programme, raising the top prize to £4,000.
