Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford insisted there was ‘no saving’ Rochelle Humes after she collapsed laughing over her own cheeky innuendo.

The Saturdays star – who is filling in for Holly Willoughby on the This Morning sofa for the next couple of weeks – was discussing Phil Vickery’s upcoming cooking segment when she accidentally made a rather rude comment about his soup and toastie dish.

While her co-host insisted he doesn’t like dunking biscuits – but bread and soup is fine – Rochelle replied: ‘I will definitely dunk all Phil Vickery has to offer – oh my God!’

She instantly cracked up as Phil and the rest of the studio burst out laughing over the slip-up, and the 59-year-old star admitted while he’s no stranger to this kind of situation, there was nothing he could do this time.

‘Normally I try to help, I don’t think there’s anything I can say. I can’t help you,’ he giggled as Rochelle admitted there was ‘nothing’ he could say to save the situation.

She tried to valiantly soldier on, adding: ‘Later on, Phil is making a cream and chicken soup… and I’m gonna dunk all those toasties in the soup.’
