Claudia Winkleman, the Traitors host, has been complimented for her ‘fantastic reinvention’ after an old tape emerged.

An interview with the 52-year-old Strictly Come Dancing presenter from the BBC show Good Morning with Anne and Nick in 1996 has gone viral on social media, surprising fans.

Claudia appeared as a dating expert on the midday show, sharing her top dating recommendations and her lone experience with getting talked up, but fans couldn’t get beyond the tone of her voice or lack of fringe.

‘I can’t stop watching this 1996 interview with Claudia Winkleman that is 0% fringe and 100% posh phone voice,’ X account Shane Reaction joked.

Marcus referenced her pioneering mother and half-sister Sophie Winkleman, who is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, saying, “This is her actual voice.” She is aristocratic and the daughter of Eve Pollard, the first female editor of the Sunday Mirror and Express.

‘Her half-sister is married to a royal. Amazing rebrand.’

However, some Claudia admirers disagreed, claiming that any voice changes were merely due to ageing.

A baffled Lynsey remarked: ‘No why does she sound like a member of the royal family.’

‘Idk, she sounds younger, but she’s always been really posh,’ Lina commented.

Agreeing, G the Gamer backed Lina up and said: ‘She sounds exactly the same. Love her!’

Claudia is not just a talented presenter, but also a fashionista with a wardrobe that includes bulky knitwear, a fringed coat worthy of CBBC’s Raven, and glamorous gowns from Strictly Come Dancing.

Claudia recently shared which celebrities influenced her outfit choices, some of which may surprise you.

She stated that she collaborates with a ‘brilliant stylist’ named Sinead McKeefry to select who she ‘going to look like’.

Claudia, for example, paid tribute to Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, during the 2022 season of Strictly.

However, with The Traitors, she took a radically different approach, avoiding the razzle dazzle.

‘For Strictly this year it was Elvis – only as an inspiration, not literally – and for Traitors it was Princess Anne meets Ronnie Corbett meets Madonna when she married Guy Ritchie,’ she told The Times.

It would be foolish not to note Claudia’s distinctive thick black fringe, smoky eyeliner, pale lips, and tan.

‘There is no such thing as too orange,’ she said in December on The Graham Norton Show , revealing the lengths she has gone to her to achieve her look.

‘When I was a university, I got rid of the bed and hired a sunbed instead – it was super cosy, and I was fluorescent!

‘I love being orange but to scrub it off I use table salt and a scourer – I have asked my husband to do it but it’s not good for foreplay.’

The Traitors are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
