A former The Office actor has posted an unrecognisable snapshot from when she first arrived to London to pursue a career in acting.
The actress shared a photo of herself sitting on a mattress on the floor shortly after landing in the city, explaining that it was shot after she’d moved into a new residence ahead of attending theatre school.
‘Me at 18 just moved into my new London digs to go to drama school,’ she posted.
‘Soooo many good memories in that place. I lived there for 13 years (with slightly more furniture eventually..) #flashback #likeanotherlifetimeago,’ she added.
Lucy Davis, 50, was the star, best remembered for her role as Dawn Tinsley in the two seasons of the legendary BBC comedy, in which she co-starred with Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman.
Her tweet received a lot of positive feedback from fans and other celebrities.
Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton wrote: ‘Adorable!❤️ I have a similar picture.’
In response to that remark, Lucy invited the actress to publish her own photo.
Actress Jennifer Ehle also commented: ‘I remember that girl!’
Lucy went on to play Hilda Spellman, one of the central character’s aunts, in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
She also appeared in Holby City, Ugly Betty, Californication, Death in Paradise, and NCIS as Etta Candy in the 2017 Wonder Woman film.
Lucy Jackson, the daughter of comedian Robert Davis, well known as Jasper Carrott, and Hazel Jackson, had her debut appearance on television in an episode of The Detectives, a show developed for and starring her father.
Two decades after the original British version of the series debuted on television, an Australian spin-off featuring a female protagonist was announced early this year.
The adaptation is the 13th incarnation of the sitcom developed by Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
Other worldwide spin-offs have been set in France, Germany, Greece, Chile, India, and Sweden in the years after its debut.
The US version starred Steve Carell and elevated the careers of John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fisher, BJ Novak, Mindy Kaling, and Ed Helms.
The Office is streaming on BBC iPlayer.
