Speaking about his time on The Masked Singer UK, former footballer Glenn explained that he’s ‘always had a passion for singing’ and so when the opportunity came to appear on the show, the offer ‘was too good to say no to’.

He recalled that ‘the heat was incredible’ when performing in his costume, which he stated was a ‘little restrictive’.

‘I was so nervous and the heat was incredible,’ he stated.

‘I thought I was going to be ok as I have performed live before but this was a totally different experience and well out my normal comfort zone.’

While he was ‘gutted’ to leave, teasing that he had ‘some great songs lined up’, Glenn ‘loved the experience’ and was ‘just happy to have taken part’.

For his first song of the night, Glenn performed Frank Sinatra’s You Make Me Feel So Young.

He then chose Barry Manilow’s Can’t Smile Without You for his sing-off against Viking, which he sang for a second time at the end of the show.

In the first week of The Masked Singer UK, Sophie Ellis-Bextor became the first competitor to be axed, having performed as Alien.
