Following the last episode of The Idol, viewers claimed they couldn’t look at The Weeknd the same way again.
The HBO drama recounts the narrative of damaged pop sensation Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp), who falls for self-help guru Tedros (The Weeknd), the murky head of a modern-day cult.
The impending five-part series, which claims to be the “sleaziest love tale in all of Hollywood,” has piqued everyone’s interest.
The last five minutes of the second installment, Double Fantasy, depict a fully clothed Tedros commanding a nude and blindfolded Jocelyn to complete his sexual dreams. “F*****g’ stretch that tiny, little p****,” he shouts at one point.
Several slammed the explicit scene, with one person seething: ‘Someone put the entire sex scene from the idol and.. let’s just say I lost respect for the weeknd I’m sorry I don’t care what you do but doing it on TV especially GRAPHICALLY is weird.’

Critics had already blasted the first two episodes, branding it “torture porn.”
Despite the response, Johnny Depp, 59, of Pirates of the Caribbean fame, claimed his daughter Lily-Rose “must be doing something right” to be receiving so much attention.
A source shared: ‘Johnny loves that Lily is carving out a career of her own and challenging herself to take on roles that interest her and test her.’
The insider added to Mail Online: ‘He believes that she must be doing something right since the role is getting so much attention, and he is proud of her success.’
The Rolling Stone earlier alleged that upon his arrival, Euphoria director Sam Levinson “dialled up the horrific sexual material and nudity.”
The Weeknd, actual name Abel Tesfaye, reacted angrily to the criticism.
He was first chastised for his ‘inappropriate’ attitude after sharing a clip from the series and dubbing the newspaper ‘irrelevant’ after the story surfaced.
