After the celebrity version of The Circle came to an end with Lady Leshurr becoming the champion, it’s time for a new civilian series to begin.

On Channel 4 a nine new contestants will enter their new homes and join The Circle, with the sole aim of avoiding elimination by trying to get the most people to like you.

What’s more, contestants can decide whether to play as themselves or as someone else to really shake things up. We’ve all seen where that can lead…

This series, which kicks off tonight, will include a father and daughter team, and fitness trainer James Crossley – better known as Hunter from the 90s TV show Gladiators.

We will soon see them move into their new, pretty well kitted out homes in a bid to win £100,000 – but where is the programme located?

Where is The Circle filmed?

The reality TV programme is filmed at a block of flats in Salford, Greater Manchester, with each flat fitted with cameras and screens so contestants can access The Circle.

The building, which features a roof terrace, has a giant LED circle installed on the front when the series is filming.

Who is in the line-up?

This year’s line-up also includes a YouTuber, an influencer, an accountant, a receptionist and a dating agency founder.

Who won the last season of The Circle?

The first ever series in 2018 was won by Alex Hobern, and series two, which aired in 2019, was won by Paddy Smyth.
