The Chase star Bradley Walsh falls apart laughing over very NSFW answer

Bradley Walsh was in absolute hysterics on The Chase after struggling to read out a rude answer.

The 62-year-old host and giggling fits go hand in hand on the ITV quiz show, whether it’s questions about old willies, Fanny Chmelar, or Gritty Beaver – and who can blame him?

This week, an episode aired when Bradley just couldn’t stop laughing as he asked a question referring to a ‘chocolate starfish’.

He asked: ‘Where if these is NOT a genuine species of starfish? A. Goose foot starfish. B. Red-knobbed starfish. C. Chocolate starfish.’

Poor Bradley tried his best but was able to finish reading out the last answer, and ‘The Governess’ Anne Hegerty also looked to be struggling.

The player himself chose ‘chocolate starfish’ – a rather crude term for the anus, in case you’ve got this far without coming across the term – as his answer, and Bradley laughed: ‘What made you put that?’

With his teammates chuckling in the background, the man quipped: ‘Funnily enough it’s the only starfish I’d heard of.’

That set Bradley off all over again as he tried to regain his composure, and eventually regained enough control to push on.

‘Chocolate starfish you’ve put, and rightly so,’ he said. ‘Here we go – correct answer is… chocolate starfish is absolutely right. A step closer to home, well played!’

Anne joked: ‘You can’t have chocolate under the sea because the sharks eat it all.’

We’re going to need a moment.

Naturally, viewers were in bits over the incredible scenes, and one fan tweeted crying laughing emojis and added: ‘A question on the Chase and the answer was a Chocolate Starfish…WoW (sic)’

Another Twitter user delivered a groan-inducing – but brilliant – pun, as they wrote: ‘Charles & Brad were laughing at chocolate starfish. It nearly rectum. #thechase (sic)’

And a different person said: ‘CHOCOLATE STARFISH, I can’t breathe. And neither can Bradley #TheChase’

Never change, Bradley. Never change.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
