Channel 4’s The Bridge concludes tonight, with the final episode revealing whether or not the 10 contestants have managed to construct the bridge in time and who will be taking home the all important cash prize.
As it currently stands, a whopping £80K is up for grabs out of a possible £100K. This is because Maura and Luke managed to swipe a cheeky £5K each during an overnight mission.
Luke then stole another £10K before destroying 100ft of the bridge, in scenes that aired on Sunday.
How does the prize money work on the Channel 4 show?
Although there is £80K up for grabs, only one contestant will be given the money.
If the teammates successfully build the bridge, they must vote for the person they think is worthy of taking it.
They’re not permitted to discuss their vote with anyone else and they cannot vote for themselves.
The winner can then choose whether they want to share their winnings with one other member of the group. If they decide to share the prize, it has to be a 50:50 split.
However, if the contestants do not finish the bridge in time, then there will be no prize fund and everyone will leave empty handed.
Savage, right? After 20 days of hard labour, only one will be victorious. But it’s the taking part that counts.
The Bridge concludes tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
