The Bachelor star Colton Underwood has come out as gay on today’s Good Morning America.
In a segment titled, Colton Underwood: In His Own Words, the former NFL player spoke candidly to veteran anchor Robin Roberts about his sexuality.
The reality star stated: I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time.
‘I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it.’
In a teaser of the chat, which was released the night before the segment aired, Robin could be seen asking: ‘There is something that you want people to know, so can you tell us what is on your heart that you want to share?’ Roberts asked.
Colton replied: ‘Yeah. It’s been a journey, for sure.’

The star first joined Bachelor Nation during Becca Kufrin’s Bachelorette season in 2018, making it to her final four.
He then had a fling with Tia Woods on the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise before being picked to lead season 23 of The Bachelor.
