Lottie Lion caused quite a stir during her time on The Apprentice, but she’s now announced that she’s packed her belongings and relocated halfway around the world.

Lottie was a candidate in the 2019 series who made it to the penultimate episode of the BBC series before being sacked by Lord Alan Sugar following the interview stage.

While her financial savvy propelled her to success, her time on the show was tainted by multiple episodes that exposed her to public attention.

The former librarian has now disclosed that she has relocated to Bali and has no intentions to return anytime soon.

‘I will not be back in the UK for the foreseeable,’ she told The Sun.

‘I am still working remotely but for the next four weeks I am going to be volunteering 15 hours a week with the Bali Animal Welfare rescue centre in Ubud.’

She went on to say that she expected the labour to be “emotional” and “difficult” as she cared for the injured animals.

Lottie deleted her social media after the event because she felt she “needed a detox” after being harassed on social media.

While it is currently operational, her 54,000 followers are unable to comment on any of her images.

In 2020, Lottie suggested a transfer overseas was on the cards, stating on Twitter: ‘I really fancy quitting everything. Going back blonde and living abroad again, in the sun, care-free.’

Her remarks came after she was involved in multiple situations that drew criticism.

Following complaints, the BBC investigated Lottie after she ordered opponent Lubna Farhan, whose parents are Pakistani, to’shut up Gandhi’ and threatened to ‘knock her out’ in a series of texts revealed on the 2019 cast’s group chat.

However in a 2019 interview with The Sun, Lottie said she was ‘not a racist and I stand to that’.

‘Despite the fact I didn’t intend to be racist, I didn’t intend to offend her and everybody in that group chat found that comment funny when I posted it,’ she added.

‘If I hurt Lubna in any way, that wasn’t my intention and I apologise to her for any distress that I did cause.’

She was also unceremoniously banned from appearing on Apprentice spin-off You’re Fired following her firing.

Following her firing, she was also abruptly barred from appearing on the Apprentice spin-off You’re Fired.

She then got into an argument with rival contender Ryan-Mark Parsons, calling him a “pathetic brat” after he accused her of forging communications.

The Apprentice 2023 continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
