The newest episode of the family drama witnessed the death of a significant character, and although many praised it as ‘inevitable,’ others were astonished by how emotional they were.
In the third chapter, Conor’s Wedding, viewers witnessed Connor (Alan Ruck) and Willa (Justine Lupe) marry, but the Roy brothers learn that their father, corporate mogul Logan Roy (Brian Cox), is dangerously sick.
While delayed on the boat that’s intended to carry them to the wedding, Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) conveys as much as he can to Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook), and Roman (Kieran Culkin).
Logan died abruptly aboard his private aircraft on his way to Sweden to finalise Waystar’s planned sale to GoJo, which is owned by Lukas (Alexander Skarsgrd).
With everything in disarray, the siblings deliberated how to reveal Logan’s death, while Gerri (J. Smith-Cameron) struggled to find out where she stood within the corporation.
While fans rejoiced for Logan, who demonstrated egotistical and at times temperamental tendencies, some were taken shocked by the siblings’ ‘brutal’ scenes.
‘Never imagined in a billion years i would be crying over logan’s death,’ one person wrote.
‘Trying to enjoy Logan’s death but instead coping with complete emotional devastation at the hands of the Roy siblings,’ another added.
Following the action-packed episode, viewers returned to the season four trailer, which shows the Roy family standing on a skyscraper balcony overlooking the New York City cityscape.
The plane passing through the clouds in the corner, on the other hand, provided a huge hint about Logan’s final expedition.
While we don’t know for certain what the plane represents, it did disclose where Logan will die right beneath our eyes all along!
