Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell has shared a loved-up selfie with boyfriend Joe Sugg and revealed she has been stranded in the UK due to coronavirus.
The Australian native was meant to be returning home for the holidays, but unfortunately travel restrictions and tier four rules have caused her to cancel her plans.
The star, who competed on Strictly this year with The Wanted’s Max George, is trying to keep positive and make the best of the bad situation.
Joe is certainly seeming to help, with the pair cuddling up on the floor underneath the Christmas tree for the photo.
She wrote alongside the pic: ‘It was meant to be the night before I flew out to Australia to see the fam.
‘It’s very sad and frustrating but so many of us are in similar positions this year if not worse. Sending love to everybody who can’t see their loved ones this Christmas!
‘Silver lining is I get to stay and annoy this one a little longer than planned! And Australia I’ll be there as soon as I can.’
Dianne and YouTube star Joe have been together since 2018, when they were partnered up together for that year’s series of the BBC dancing favourite.
While hiding their romance during their time on the show, they went public with their relationship on the night of the finale, and have remained together ever since.
In 2019, the duo returned for the Christmas special together, performing a street dance routine to classic track, Sleigh Ride.
Unfortunately Dianne isn’t the only Strictly pro whose festive plans have been ruined by the tier four lockdown – with Graziano Di Prima devastated to find out he won’t be able to get home this year either.
The Italian dancer shared the news online, and said: ‘’There’s something that you cannot buy… family,’ he wrote.
‘I tried everything possible to make my way home but it is not possible…’
He captioned the snap: ‘What just happened?… familyiseverything.’
