Tyler West of Strictly Come Dancing was denied entry to Ibiza after being turned away at the airport due to a lack of a valid passport.
The radio host and DJ, 27, who previously performed on the most recent series of the dance programme, was unable to enjoy his sunny vacation after failing to properly verify his travel documents.
When presenting Tyler on Lorraine on Wednesday, fill-in presenter Ranvir Singh said there was a ‘very unexpected but very welcome visitor’.
After asking him why he was on set, he recalled what had transpired during his setback.
‘I had intended to be in Ibiza…”But I heard you were here today,’ he initially laughed.
He went on to explain that his passport had expired and that he had a “little hiccup” at the airport before taking flight.
‘I got denied at the airport and it had three months on it but I didn’t know…and I should be at a pool party right now but I’m here fully clothed’ he said.
After a mild reprimand from Ranvir, who questioned Tyler’s ability to get all the way to the airport without realising his passport was out of date, he claimed he felt he was okay to depart.
‘I checked in online but when I got to the airport they were like “no you can’t go because you haven’t got three months”,’ he recalled.
‘Do you never watch our travel segments on this show,’ the host then laughed.
‘I’m going to send you the greatest tips of Simon Calder, number one which is check your passport,’ she added.
Tyler joked that his incident was great because he was able to spend time in the studio and had “a lot to talk about today.”
Tyler posted a snapshot of himself over the weekend regretting his inability to enjoy the sun and water.
‘Where I should be VS reality 🙂 Ibiza is on for bank holiday – Vibes. Also a reminder – check your passport hasn’t expired,’
he shared an old photo of himself shirtless on the Spanish island, as well as one of him lounging on his couch wrapped in a blanket, clutching a drink and a beach ball.
Tyler skipped his most recent international vacation, although he did visit Disneyland Paris with girlfriend Molly Rainford last month.
Molly, 22, posted a series of photos from their outing on Instagram, beginning with one of her sporting Minnie Mouse ears.
They subsequently stood in front of Cinderella’s castle and took a photo while on a ride.
