Layton Williams of Strictly Come Dancing has announced he will be dancing with another man, but he does not yet know who.
The Billie Elliot actress, 28, was one of the first contenders revealed for this series, alongside Amanda Abbington, Angela Rippon, Les Dennis, and Adam Thomas.
While none of the candidates have yet learned who they will be dancing with, Layton is certain he will be in a same-sex relationship.
The Bad Education star tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter, ‘I’m 100% gonna be partnered up with a dude.’
As followers pleaded for more information, Layton claimed, ‘PS – I don’t know who my partner is haha and even if I did, it’s giving me away.’ We truly don’t know till that point on the screen. Isn’t it amazing?!x’
Layton had earlier uploaded a lips-zipped-closed emoji to be coy, but that didn’t stop followers from attempting to pry it out of him.

This is in response to Layton’s wish to be in an all-male coupling.
‘Honestly, genuinely, I’m pleased as long as it’s a man,’ Layton remarked during the announcement on The One Show. I’ve stated that I’d want to dance with a male. I want to get tossed about.
‘Basically, at college I was always vey jealous of the girls being thrown around and was like, “I want to be that!”
‘So I can’t wait to get flung around and wear some glittery costumes.’
It is unknown who Layton’s professional partner would be this season, however it was previously said that he was being considered for the fifth same-sex coupling.
Nicola Adams and Kayta Jones were the first same-sex couple to be on Strictly in 2020, however they were forced to withdraw owing to Covid-19.
However, the following year, in a truly great year for representation, John Whaite and Johannes Radebe made it all the way to the final and ended in second place.
Then, in 2022, we had two same-sex couples for the first time: Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer, and Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice.
A source recently said: ‘This year, everyone is hoping for a same-sex couple who can go the distance.’
‘Layton is a phenomenal performer and the pros will probably queue up to work with him,’ they added to The Mirror.
We’ll just have to wait and see!
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and iPlayer later this year.
