Gordon Ramsay shared a heartwarming post dedicated to daughter Tilly Ramsay and dance partner Nikita Kuzmin, following their Strictly Come Dancing exit.
The social media star, 20 was the ninth celebrity eliminated from the hit show, after landing in the dance-off with CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu.
The TV chef took to Instagram and praised the dancing duo for being ‘incredibly down to earth.’
Underneath the picture of the pair smiling for the camera, he wrote: ‘Words can’t describe I proud I am of these 2, hard working polite humble and incredibly down to earth, most of all well done and what a celebration of youth and how happy it makes me feel the future is bright and you 2 will continue to shine lots of love dad.’
Tilly’s exit left Gordon feeling a whirlwind of emotions, as he was seen standing next to his wife Tana Ramsay in the audience, wiping tears from his eyes as his daughter paid tribute to her ‘best friend for life’ Nikita.
‘You’ve just been incredible. Thank you for the best couple of weeks,’ the YouTuber said.
Nikita was then asked if he had any words for Tilly and said: ‘I’m the most emotional person so I hope I don’t cry.
‘I’m just grateful for everything, for the whole Strictly team, for the production team, for the costume, for the make-up, for everything. Thank you guys, thank you to the professionals and cast, and a huge, huge thank you to Tilly.’
Fans on Twitter also shared how much they’ll miss seeing the doting dad in the audience every week.
One viewer said: ‘Seeing Gordon Ramsey cry breaks me #Strictly,’ with a fan echoing: ‘Gordon Ramsey is a big softie really. Sorry to see Tilly go. #Strictly #tillyramsay.’
‘Must say I’m gonna miss seeing Gordon crying every week on #Strictly,’ someone else added.
Saturday’s show saw Tilly take on the Samba but she found herself at the bottom of the leader board despite a fantastic effort with her Latin routine.
The Hell’s Kitchen presenter has been a present force in her Strictly journey from the very start – he has held her hand through the difficult moments, and sobbed in the audience as she topped the leaderboard.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 6.40pm on BBC One.
