Strictly Come Dancing pro Gorka Marquez broke down in tears on Friday when he was surprised with a sweet message from his little girl.
Gorka and girlfriend Gemma Atkinson, who met on the show when she competed in 2017, welcomed their daughter Mia in July 2019.
But due to the strict rules around isolating in order to compete this year, Gorka has been forced to live away from them for the past three months.
Now in the finals with Eastenders’ Maisie Smith, Gorka is on the home straight, and appearing on spin-off chat show Strictly: It Takes Two, he was left in tears as Gemma and Mia sent him a message of support.
Realising what was coming, Gorka was choked up and told Rylan Clark-Neal ‘don’t’ before Gemma and Mia’s beaming faces appeared on the screen.
‘Hi Gorks! Just wanted to say a massive good luck and Maisie. Mia’s made you a picture, it’s got a glitterball on it.
‘We cannot wait to see you. Best of luck tonight guys. Come On!’
Mia was seen holding a home made painting with the words ‘Good luck Papa and Maisie’ written underneath it, and Gorka couldn’t stop crying as he saw it.
He later shared a photo of Mia holding the sign on Instagram, and wrote: ‘Best good luck message ever!!!
‘Hopefully papa can make you and mummy proud and bring that glitter ball home for you.’
Gorka and Maisie are just three dances away from finding out if they can lift the glitterball trophy.
They go up against HRVY and Janette Manrara, Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse, and Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer.
