Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo is joining forces with Michelle Obama in her new Netflix kids show, Waffles and Mochi.
In a first look trailer of the upcoming series, which follows two cartoon friends learning about food from around the world, an all-star cast has been brought on board to help them on their adventures.
In a cheeky little dig, Gaten is seen with Waffles and Mochi sampling different types of mushrooms, with Waffles saying that they had sampled ‘stranger… things than that’.
‘Stranger things than the mushrooms?’ Gaten then tells them.
Elsewhere on the show, Jack Black is seen recruiting the pair for help, as they head around the globe with their magic shopping cart to become the best chefs.
Rashida Jones, Queer Eye’s Tan France, rapper Common and Zach Galifianakis will also be catching up with their little puppet buddies.
Speaking ahead of the trailer, former First Lady Michelle said: ‘I can’t wait for you to feast your eyes and your taste buds on my new show, Waffles and Mochi.
‘So sit back, relax and snack on my favourite programme.
‘If you want to be great chefs, you have to learn about all kinds of different foods.’
Waffles and Mochi is part of a multi-million dollar production deal the Obamas secured with Netflix back in 2018.
The first effort was Becoming, released last year, a documentary series about Michelle Obama’s life and career.
Waffles and Mochi launches March 16 on Netflix.
