Kevin Clifton and Stacey Dooley have explained why they are hesitant to post pictures of their daughter on social media.
Minnie, the first child of the Strictly Come Dancing pair, was born in January of this year.
Stacey, 36, has been outspoken about her love of motherhood and has posted pictures of Kevin, 40, holding the baby online, but she is still cautious about what she posts.
Minnie is being guarded, so Stacey’s huge following hasn’t yet seen her face.
The TV host talked about the families she’s gotten to know through her Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over series while appearing on The One Show.
She visited one home that belongs to the Saccone Joly family, a family of YouTube vloggers who openly discuss every part of their lives with millions of followers, including the parenting of their four children.
Asked by host Alex Jones where she stands, Stacey replied: ‘I’m probably like every parent in the UK, do you know what I mean? We’re trying to figure it out.
‘Kev and I… so, I’ve got a little girl, Minnie, and she is 10/10, magic, golden.
‘Of course, instinctively, I want to show her off to the world.’
On her reservations, Stacey added: ‘But it’s such tricky territory. It’s hard to navigate because she can’t really give true consent yet.
‘I film with loads of kids and I’ve got pals who are public-facing who put their kids out there and that’s totally, totally their choice.
‘But, for the time being, I think we’re just going to wait until she’s a bit older.’
However, Stacey admits that being a parent in 2023 is ‘hard’.
‘You don’t know what to do!’, she exclaimed.
Stacey made her remarks after confessing her concerns about “failing” Minnie.
When Minnie became seven months old, someone asked Stacey if she intended to have any more kids.
The TV personality replied: ‘Do you know what’s hilarious? You’re so tired and sometimes you really feel like you’re in the trenches, it’s a haze and you’re just trying to figure it all out.
‘I think I would love to have more babies. But I said to Kev the other day, “Don’t you want to do this again?” And he went, “Are you nuts? You’re over-tired!”
‘I don’t know how people have four children. I’ve had one and am completely failing.’
She also opened up about the realities of parenting, admitting to The Sun the first night was ‘absolute chaos.’
Stacey continued: ‘The sleep deprivation . . . to be perfectly honest, I completely underestimated. I had four hours last night, which is incredible.’
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
