Shirley Ballas spread body positivity as she experimented on a variety of bikinis and swimsuits in her back garden in preparation for Strictly Come Dancing 2023.
The 62-year-old judge claimed she was ‘feeling wonderful’ as she uploaded images of herself on Instagram wearing a black and white floral and colourful halter neck two piece, as well as a vivid blue and navy swimming suit.
The dancer captioned the post: ‘Feeling fabulous in my @fantasie_lingerie bikinis #gifted. inspired by the beautiful @motsimabuse.
‘I’m on my way to feeling healthy and embracing my authentic self. I’m juicing each day, I’m loving my @hotpodyogadulwich in the mornings and I’m taking time to relax with my mum after my Skyathlon.
‘A reminder for you all to love yourself and your bodies no matter what others say or how hard it may be. Your body is your home that carries you through this journey called life. (sic).’
Shirley did a series of daring undertakings in favour of the suicide prevention organisation Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm), including riding the world’s fastest zipline, wing walking 700 feet in the air, and skydiving 13,000 feet.

Shirley was raising funds for Calm in memory of her late brother David, who committed suicide in 2003.
‘I’ve done it for everybody out there who has lost a loved one, or anybody who’s living miserably, and for my brother David and my student that just passed a couple of weeks ago, age 38. I’m glad I went through with it,’ she said
Shirley will be practising for the forthcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, after the announcement of the line-up.
This year’s guests include Paralympic champion Jody Cundy and former British number one tennis player Annabel Croft, as well as Nikita Kanda, anchor of the BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show, actress Amanda Abbington, Bad Education actor Layton Williams, and broadcaster Angela Rippon.
