Warning: spoilers ahead for She-Hulk episode 2.

She-Hulk has been awash with Marvel Easter Eggs so far… and one of the latest, an apparent nod to Wolverine, has excited fans beyond belief.

In episode 2 of the MCU show on Disney Plus, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is scrolling online in search of a new job after being fired from her position in the district attorney’s office.

In addition to revealing she has a picture of Captain America’s famous behind as her lock screen on her phone, she also has her laptop screen open… which upon closer inspection, includes a link to an article with a headline that appears to refer to X-Men fan-favourite Wolverine, played in 20th Century Fox film franchise by Hugh Jackman.

While looking at a webpage with the headline: ‘10 Offbeat Jobs for a Fresh Start’, a related article on the side has a headline that reads: ‘Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl.’

Although it’s not confirmed this is definitely in reference to Wolverine… surely this has to be a nod to Logan?!

That wasn’t the only Easter Egg to be revealed on Jen’s computer, as another related article on the webpage read: ‘Why there is a giant statue of a man sticking out of the ocean,’ referencing the end of the 2021 film Eternals – the first time the Celestial sticking out of the Earth has been addressed.

The mention of a ‘man with metal claws’ – if indeed it was about Wolverine – would mark the first time he’s been directly acknowledged in the MCU, considering the X-Men films exist outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Ms Marvel having strongly hinted at the upcoming arrival of mutants in the MCU when Kamala Khan’s (Iman Vellani) genes are being explored, could a new Wolverine be on the way?

Fans who spotted the Wolverine mention have been falling over themselves with excitement.

We can’t wait for the X-Men to hopefully be incorporated into the MCU (Fox / Marvel)

‘Wolverine already exists in the MCU?!’ one person tweeted in shock, as another wrote: ‘THE WOLVERINE AND ETERNALS CRUMBS OH MY GOD SOMEONE CALL THE PARAMEDICS.’

‘Wolverine’s first mention in the MCU #SheHulk THE X-MEN ARE COMING!’ someone else wrote with excitement, as a very elated fan added: ‘Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl.” THAT’S WOLVERINE BABY!’

Hugh first portrayed Wolverine in 2000 in the first X-Men film, going on to reprise the role in several more projects, leading up to his final appearance in the 2017 film Logan.

There have been rumours about other actors who could take on a rebooted version of the role in future, with Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, The Boys’ star Antony Starr and Rocketman’s Taron Egerton mentioned in the mix.

She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Thursdays.
