On Friday night’s Gogglebox, Shaun Ryder told an utterly terrifying childhood experience.
Get Me Out of Here, I’m a Celebrity! On June 16, star was one of the celebrities that sat on the Celebrity Gogglebox couch.
Among the news stories, animal documentaries, and a really sexy Columbian thriller on Netflix, the celebrities settled in to watch The Yorkshire Vet.
One concerned pet owner brought in their old mouse for surgery after it developed an infection in their eye, and the vet performed surgery to remove it.
As a result, Shaun tells a childhood anecdote that would make even the toughest of us squirm.
He claimed that as a child, his grandpa had a glass eye that he used to pop out with his fingers as a party trick.
Shaun, being young at the time, decided he wanted to do the same – and let his mother watch as he dug around and popped out his eye.
‘It was on my cheek,’ he confessed.
The not-so-sweet childhood anecdote left some viewers sick, with one turning to Twitter to simply write: ‘Shaun Ryder’s eye story,’ complete with a puking face.
Along with Shaun, Celebrity Gogglebox included Katherine Ryan and her husband, Tom Grennan and his father, Davina McCall and her partner, and Shaun’s Happy Monday co-star Bez.
